In have had the intermittent check engine light and VTM-4 lights as well. Had my codes read at an auto parts store. It was misfiring on all cylinders and i got a P0175 Fuel system too rich (bank 2). Tried dry gas and fuel injector cleaner. Once you have it loosened, follow the normal VTM-4 fluid replacement procedure. Uncrew the fill plug (top one), then bottom drain plug, then the sensor itself. Use the backwards procedure to assemble everything in. Use fluid pump to put new fluid in, it takes almost a gallon.A year later, My check Engine light came on and VTM-4 Light came on also. I noticed car vibrates when I have it on and on park. Tested both the spark plug and coil pack then completed compression test. Also found low compression on cylinder 4 130PSI and low compression 5 130PSI. Normal compression should be 170PSI.
