first you get the apotheosis materials by salvaging apotheosis loot drops (armor/tools) the top tier is the orange material: "Godforged Pearl". the name of the drops loot will be something long with orange text. ie. Lengthy Diamond pickaxe of the serendipitous. (names are all random) the gem drops are also tiered, see JEI for the tiers.

Apotheosis gem socket not working. I socketed my weapon just fine, but I can't get these to accept gems. I've tried all types of gems, and on multiple armor pieces (with empty sockets) and this is a smithing table. The preview of the armor (the empty box on the right) shows the icon and then disappears right away.
