Is tradovate good.

When I place an order on Tradovate, the volume seems wrong. It plays an "Order Filled" sound, but it's really loud. If I look at the notification settings (Settings -> Preferences -> Advanced Notification), I can play the sounds and they work fine. The volume seems normal. If you want to trade futures (good idea) just get a broker with margin you like (tradovate) don't fall for these trade account scams. I used tradovate for over a year as my main futures, if it was dependable i would have stayed. I use Sierra Chart and Stage 5 now, it’s cheaper with same style membership and you do not get problems. If you don’t mind learning a new software that takes a while, it is way better. Candles do not lag at all, ever.

You should avoid Tradovate and Ninja and find a good FCM to house your account. FCMs that specialize in retail are AMP, Ironbeam and Dorman. Tradovate replay and simulation work pretty well and as someone mentioned, it's pretty good about not automatically filling you just bc the target is hit. I will offer this one bit of caution: if you are simulating trading during a low volume session, for example overnight, I would say its not that accurate bc stops get tagged pretty easily overnight vs regular hours.

This is because I use SierraChart and Jigsaw. SierraChart has the most stable data connection and excellent trade copier and most customizable charts. Jigsaw has one of the best DOM. The tradovate unfortunately only allows tradovate or ninjatrader, which has lacking features for me.
