The 39-2 was produced between 1971-1982 and, according to the Supica/Nahas catalog, the last 39-2, serial number A747148, was shipped. from the factory on 15 Feb 1983. The 5 1/2" barrel wasn't introduced until 1963, so if the barrel is original to the frame, it wasn't made before then. They weren't made at an even x-number per year, so extrapolating your serial in that range isn't going to be exact.
