Forget trains in Croatia. There are no train lines along the coast at all. All lines are between Zagreb and other places. Plus, they are not the best way to travel in Croatia. Busses are much better.

There are complaints about some places being overcrowded in July ( Dubrovnik, for instance, or Plitvice lakes), other complain because of long queues for the ferries to islands, crowds at the airports, hot weather, mosquitos - people complain for all possible reasons.
