Shadow and Bowfa is way better in ToA than Sang and Tbow. But another very good money maker is Nex, if you can duo its the same gp rates than solo 500s at ToA. ... I just tried 8 trips to test out Mage+Range, vs just using the bowfa ( 4 trips each ). Keep in mind that this is with 96 range, 99 mage, no cox prayers, and I also only used monkfish and karambwans. I expect the average trips to go up by 1-2 with manta rays once I get a bigger supply.

First off, you should literally never pvm with the bofa without the armor. A notable exception being shamans. Don’t use bofa without crystal armor. I get around 1:20 - 2:00 minute kills with range only, even got a new personal best almost sub 1 minute but that was pretty lucky.

Finally upgraded to a Bowfa and full crystal! Bowfa is a very good logical mid step between rcb and tbow. I dont really think we need more range items in there. I didnt really enjoy the bowfa grind. But I do enjoy content I did prebowfa sooooo much more. Zulrah for example instead of swapping gear. However, bp is still well worth getting but even to get bp it’s easiest to just get a bofa first and use that at zulrah. Bofa, I basically only use blowpipe for spec. Making the higher tier darts requires high fletch/smith also so kind of a drag. Full Crystal with Bofa is also nice for lazy Zulrah. Mostly bowfa. Tbow is worse dps than BP/trident. The whole point is that you can just afk the boss. No. If you're using mage gear then tbow isn't worth taking at all. Given your info, shadow + bowfa - not even a close choice. It is an astronomical win at TOA. For chambers it will only be noticeably worse on head phase (and big mut). Where shadow actually wins on regular mystics (and don't need a salve!) and vespula.
