However, you can create more points of import by building Cargo Terminals for trains and Cargo Harbours for boats. Ideal would be to have your industry close to the border, because last I heard, the city (you) only gets paid on exports via road connection. try to balance your amount of goods produced by extractors as close as possible to the amount consumed by processors so that the whole system doesn't have a surplus of low-value materials to deal with.
