Posting to hopefully help someone else that was being drove nuts trying to figure this out. My robot kept stopping mid cycle. Flashing yellow light every 1 sec or so. I tore it apart, cleaning it from top to bottom, cleaned the pinch sensor, the cat sensor, the gears. An hour later and 50 disassembles later, I found that the waste pan was too ...
Just adding that I also encountered this red/blue alternating flashing LED along with a mixed solid green/blinking red LED on litter robot 4 and what I did was remove the globe, and cleaned around the edges that lead to the litter drawer in the litter robot housing. I keep having my litter robot 3 get stuck, with a slow blinking yellow light and the motor getting stuck. It will fix itself for a second if I turn it off and then on again, but it almost immediately stops moving and starts blinking again. Slow blinking yellow is EITHER the weight sensor has been tripped, OR the dumb bonnet connection was interrupted by the thing rotating and bumping against the hood. Bend the tabs out to make a stronger contact, and possibly clean them with a dremel and wire wheel or an emery board.
