I change the triggers to a 21sf, I prefer the smooth trigger, add a polished minus connector. A Wolff reduced power spring kit, and at 4#minus , I usually am about 3-1/2# after 2000 rounds of use.

The 30's internals R stock. I did replace the original G 30 recoil rod w/my OEM recoil rod from the G 36. Since I know that recoil rod is virtually new.The G29, G29SF, G30, and G30SF are all basically built on the same size frame and have the same basic dimensions. As such, any of those 4 models will fit in a holster made for a standard Glock 29 or Glock 30. The difference in the grip size between the SF and the Gen 4 (without any back straps installed)is insignificant (read as virtually the same), the only real difference is the grip texture. I now currently have a Glock 30s and it is a bit thicker but with it's standard 10 round mag it's about the same grip length as my Shield and I get 3 more rounds.

It has slightly more felt recoil than the 30 due to lighter slide and thinner grip. I never noticed musch difference with the 36 slide on my 30 (same as 30s). I just liked the 19 which I have now, over the 30SF when I owned it. Any real debate of one vs the other isn't a factor to you. The short frame is reduced trigger reach essentially. So the length from the back strap to the front of the grip is shorter. Same as what a Gen4 is with no added back strap. Yes, the 10mm will have greater recoil (physics). the G30 and G29 do pinch between the magazine and frame at the front strap base, for some people. They're comfortable to carry and to shoot. .45 ACP is a slow round. 10mm is not. .45acp is a relatively low pressure round. 10mm is not.
