I have a 2008 ford escape, 2wd (non hybrid), and on my way home from work today, my wrench light came on. Since then, the escape is taking longer than normal to shift from 1st to second. (It's doing it at about 3000-3500 RPMS).

Started a cold 1.6 L EcoBoost Engine, started cold. Drove about 2 miles then car have an overheating safety shutoff alert. Car was at normal temps then shot to maximum high temp.
