Disheartened ORM CA applicant. đą SAD. Iâm feeling so frustrated and disappointed. I applied to 48 schools (46 MD, 2 DO) and was complete in July/August for most of them. I only got ONE ii from an MD school, and it doesnât look like thatâs going to turn into an acceptance. I have a few pre-ii holds and rejections, but mostly radio silence.

thank you all for the congrats! and i get where you all are coming from! and i do believe many schools are trying to expand their understandings of diversity outside of race and should continue to do so. please remember that the ORM term exists in med school process because there are soooo many more ORMs applying in the application cycle, âŠ3.3 GPA, 511 MCAT, ORM. No SMP or post bac, but I did do a masterâs in the basic sciences and had a 3.9 GPA there. Currently 5 II, 1 A, 1 WL, and still waiting on the other 3 all for MD schools. I did go to a higher ranking undergrad and multiple of my interviewers said adcoms take that into account when looking at undergrad GPAs.
