Oil collects dirt and that dirt will eventually gum up the firing pin. The Security 9 has blued parts, that I have found needs to be kept well oiled as it is prone to rust, plastic sights, and a safety that is hard to manipulate and pivots from the wrong end. But it has a hammer, which in my opinion is a good thing. But the Security 9 is a very functional pistol.Once you remove the innards you can readjust/orient your safety button. 1. Use a 3/32" pin punch and remove the crosspin that holds the ejector assembly in place - take care as there is a spring under tension on the right hand side of the assembly. Remove the pin and the ejector, set them aside. 2.Solutions. Magazine Ejection. Smooth out magazine edges and clean the magazine well. Trigger Issues.
