Marlin 795 discontinued.
It has been over a month now, actually a month yesterday and the rifle has still not been shipped back to the store (I hope). I called Marlin. They said they smoothed the rifle out inside and that they had shipped it out a few days ago. This was last week. It still took them about 3 weeks to fix.

Hello fellow Marlin 795 owner! The stock 795 has a design flaw around the rear action screw. The screw does not go through the stock but uses the reciever and the plastic trigger guard to clamp onto the stock (like a C-clamp). If you happen to apply even the slightest amount of torque to the screw you will bend and eventually break the trigger guard (I did and I've read it's quite common).
