EASYGEAR. 1033 posts · Joined 2015. #6 · Dec 2, 2017 (Edited) A wrench who works in a HD shop (bought used FXR part from him) told me, if you "just look" at the throttle, the M8 accelerates nicely, but if you let go from it, it`s like you suddenly shut off the engine. From that description of it`s character, i don`t have much interest.

I found a salvaged (no tittle) 07 touring with low miles and at a reasonable price. Will the motor tranny and swingarm all swap to my 01.

There have been a surprising number of Harley Davidson V-Twin powered cars put together over the years. Typically the "A" motors make a few more ponies, but the difference is very minimal. Also another difference is the a's are rubber mounted to help with vibes. The "B"'s are solid mounted.
