Most beta bosses can be done with gen 1 tames if you have insane saddles, 200+ armor. For alphas you'll need some mutated tames. Gen 1 just won't have the health and damage. Broodmother specifically is a dps race. She doesn't have alot of health but does more raw damage than any other boss, only the dragons engulf does more.This will make room for focusing on Lystrix and make it not drain your health. You could also have some daeodons for healing if your base army has 40k- health each. My experience was that about 70% of the damage enflicted on us was the small spiders and the rest was Lystrix.
