I had been carrying a Bulgarian Makarov prior to this, but I wasn’t a big fan of the all steel frame (too heavy), a thumb safety, or the 9×18 for a CCW gun. Jan 23, 2016 · Recently painted my PF9, after reassembling my hammer is getting stuck. By stuck I mean its catching the hammer on its way forward, almost as if it got longer or something. Gun fired fine before disassembly.
The PF9 was easy to disassemble and easy to clean. The only surprise was the recoil spring popped out and I was not expecting that. Now putting it together was another story. I had trouble getting the slide back on, but a quick YouTube video later I had it back together. So long story short I was not impressed with the Kel Tec PF9.
