The pickups/bass overall sounds awesome. Apparently they are custom spec'd Seymour Duncans. Sounds like a P bass but bit more focused (exactly like how JMJ described it). The bass came with a good quality padded Fender gig bag and not some cheap thin garbage lol. Totally usable for pro gigging.

The P-Bass has a wider neck and a smaller body than the 32" Jazz. There is a 32" Fender Aerodyne P/J on eBay as I write this. The guy is asking $798 plus $120 shipping from Japan!! A bit steep for that bass.The original, pre-upgrade Highway One Model had an acrylic lacquer finish. When Fender introduced the upgrade model in 2005, they changed to nitrocellulose lacquer.
