Aug 21, 2022 · Mine is marked J. Stevens Arms Co., which signifies it was made after 1916. Models made between 1909 and 1915 were marked J. Stevens Arms & Tool. They were produced with 26, 28, 30, and 32-inch barrels and in both 16 and 12 gauge. Early guns used a 2 9/16th shell, but mine is one of the old 2¾” chambered models. The Model 235 is a boxlock hammer gun made in 12 and 16 gauge from 1907 to 1926. About 61,600 were made. When introduced in the 1907 catalog it was priced at $15. The Model 250 sidelock hammer gun priced at $25 was discontinued as the lowcost leader and replaced with the new “lower-cost” leader the Model 235.

The "Arms & Tool" name was not used after 1915, so you have somewhere between 1912-1915.
