Nov 13, 2011 · It look like you can take the 2 screws out the hold the pump in and remove the pump. Now take the gear #22 off and reinstall the pump. Unfortunately Merc does not make a cover for the hole when you remove the pump so it must be put back in to seal that hole. Mix your fuel 50:1.

All they do is disconnect they wires from the oil sender in the oil tank and remove the oil pump drive shaft. Then Plug/cap the oil lines to the fuel and oil pumps. Questions to everyone here.
Disconnect the Oil Mixing Y from the Fuel Pump and the Fuel Feed line. Plug the Fuel Feed line directly to the Fuel Pump. Disconnect the Stainless Linkage from the Throttle Shaft. Remove the two 5/16" headed screws from the Oil Pump. The screw pictured is difficult to remove. The O-ring on the Oil Pump can be reused if it is in good shape.
