Um, I beat this fight on normal, underleveled and did none of this. Didn't hack either. I just played smart on my second fight. My team was Makoto, Haru and either Ryuji or Yusuke. The fight was annoying and difficult, but once I knew the gimmick it was over. I finished the fight with I think 8mins and change left.

You really need most (or all) of the Baton Pass rank ups, the ability to switch party members mid battle, and plenty of elemental damage items if you want it to go smoothly. Because that way you can just Baton ... Joker and Morgana should baton pass to Haru using psy skills, and to maximize damage, Haru should be able to make three attacks. Just try to keep the baton pass up and get max pass to joker or party member with the corresponding affinity. The fight is trivial on merciless because critical damage is 3.5x.
