With my last pregnancy, I was 3 cm dilated/ 100% effaced and funneling at 30 weeks and ended up going to 39+3. 🤷 And when I delivered I was still at 3 cm and -3 station at my last check 30 minutes before. So I stayed at the same dilation for 9+ weeks and then went from 3 to 10 all within a half hour. Our bodies are wild!I know that you can be dilated 1.5 cm and go into labour the next day just the same that you can be dilated 1.5cm and still go another 4 weeks lol everyone is different but just wondering what your experience was :) Haven't had any contractions either! Or you could be not dilated at all at 39 weeks, go into labour and be at 10cm in 2 hours. Everyone's body works differently and everyone's baby comes at a different speed. It would be weird to schedule an induction at 40 weeks around here as it's still so early. So no, definitely no reason to think you'd need to be induced.

Plus if you aren't needing to be induced immediately it makes no sense to try to get things going. Getting a sweep at 38 weeks is not unheard of. In fact, it's a lot more common than you think.1cm is nothing to worry about. I was 2cm dilated from 32 weeks until my last appt. at 40+weeks.
