Entry sensor not responding simplisafe.

I have discovered that the message claiming a loss of signal from entry sensors in my Simplisafe system is a false positive. If the problem door or window in question is opened when the alarm is set, the alarm is always activated, regardless of the connection status of the sensor with the base station.It would be great if the magnetic entry sensors could detect motion of the sensor, in addition to the magnetic sensor. This is not like the Simplisafe motion detection sensors. Instead, it would be an internal (gyroscopic) sensor similar to those in a phone, and would trigger the alarm if the sensor itself was being moved.Since the original poster does mention that the Entry Sensor was already working - i.e. it lit up when activated, and the Base Station was already responding to it - I wouldn't think this was a battery/power issue. But what I think happened is that the Keypad or app had not yet been updated with the latest info from the system. To refresh:Sorry for the confusion. The "Door Chime" feature specifically refers to the chime when Entry Sensors are opened. Currently, the Wireless Sirens do not support doorbell rings. We do still recommend keeping at least one Wireless Siren so you can hear countdowns and main alarms across your home (it's MUCH louder, at 105dB).

The Doorbell Chime feature, where the Video Doorbell relays the chime to the Base Station, does need the Base Station to be connected to the server. However, the door chime from the Entry Sensor does not - sensor signals go through local RF, so even if WiFi was down, it should have still been working.

One of my Glass break sensors seems to run out of battery quite quickly. While the first battery lasted over a year the next 3 batteries have lasted weeks. The other sensors are working fine. Since you mentioned that you just got a new Entry Sensor, I would check the distance between the magnet and the sensor and inspect the door it is placed on.

I think you may be missing the issue. If the system is turned off, the entry sensors do work properly and announce when a door is opened, so it appears that the sensors are working properly. Sensors are all on the same floor, same building. Base station has direct line of sight to two of the three sensors, but all three randomly report they are not responding.
