Been trading options for a few years and recently started getting into futures trading. It started as just using futures to hedge overnight and I even hedge my hedges sometimes using futures options. Currently just with TDA and due to my volume which is around ~700 contracts (and increasing) per month, I am at around $1.40 comms + $1.30 fee per ...But the most volatile periods are definitely the beginning and end of day. The best hours for trading futures is between 9 :00 AM to 11:30 AM and also the last hours before the market closes . These are the most liquid hours .
