No ip address when computer is plugged into modem. I recently upgraded to gigabit service and I have not been able to get more than 250mbps on any device in my house. A technician came today and said the speed is good at the modem and suggested it may be my router. I am using a netgear nighthawk cm1200 modem.

So I just recently set up a pi-hole to block ads and wanted to change my dns server ip address to that of my pi-hole ip address so that all traffic on my network can go through my pi-hole but for some reasons, the app wouldn't allow me to change my dns server ip address.

The ISP thought Comcast must have flagged our IP address for some reason. To confirm, he moved our internet account to a different range of IP addresses. This did in fact resolve the issue.
