Is tradovate a good broker.
Ninja is a decent platform. It costs more and I just don’t think it’s as customizable. Interactive Brokers is just not good for futures. Platform sucks, data is crap. I’ve heard Tradeovate is good. But you still need a charting platform (I believe). AMP is probably the cheapest as far as commissions go.

But yes, mes is $5 per point. Though the margin requirement is $50, that is a special rate from Tradovate. The regular margin is around $1500 for 1 contract right now. The charting packages are both free to try. I've tried amp and ninjatrader trials, but I think amp and Sierra combo is the best. Free platform. Comparable if not cheaper commissions than AMP. For scalpers i would say tradovate is the way to go if you get the commission free trading package. Other than that the platform is pretty laggy compared to quantower , ninja trader etc, but it is a good starter platform. I’ll look into this.
