Remember that Speed and Shot Weight = Energy to knock down a target. The 1250 fps speed with 7/8oz is not the same recoil energy as with 1 1/8 as you know. I would slowly lower the charge from the listed recipe and monitor the adverse effects of a light load, not just the fps.

Shot 1 1/8 AA hull, WAA12 Wad, Win 209 18.4gr at 1255 fps, Fed 1 1/8 CB2118-12, 209A 20.0gr 1255 fps. It also had recipes for Ched hulls and primers.
